Puzzled by call-centre practice
WHENEVER I make a phone call to a bank or some other companies, I will be prompted to key in details such as my identity-card and mobile-phone numbers.
But when the operator attends to me, I will be asked to repeat those details.
Is such repetition necessary? If the operator will ask me for my details when he attends to me, why do I have to key in the details before that?
This is a strange practice that wastes everyone's time.
