'Worst police sketch' leads to arrest
A POLICE sketch that went viral last week was mocked for looking cartoonish, but now that the suspect has been caught, Lamar County police are having the last laugh.
Deputy Jeff Springer of the Lamar County Sheriff's Department told local paper eParis Extra that Glenn Edwin Rundles, 32, the subject of a police sketch that went viral almost overnight, was arrested on Tuesday.
Rundles was wanted for robbing two women at knifepoint in Paris, Texas, on Jan 16.
The pencil drawing of him was said to look more like a Muppet than a man, with some calling it the worst police sketch of all time.
A Paris police officer, however, noticed a similarity between the man in the sketch and a known person of interest in the case, according to the eParis Extra.
Rundles, also wanted for other crimes, is being held in the Lamar County Jail with bond set at US$135,000 (S$172,350).
