Stretching the truth to lure China property buyers
A CHONGQING Rail Transit (CRT) station sign at a construction site in Chongqing municipality has turned out to be a fake hoarding planted by a real estate developer to attract buyers, the Chongqing Morning Post reported yesterday.
The newly developed area in northern Chongqing, has few public bus lines, and the CRT sign was obviously a good selling point to lure potential buyers.
On closer inspection, there is a line in small Chinese characters on the sign that reads "The CRT line will start operating in 2017".
Although Line 5 is under construction, the station entrance would be away from the fake hoarding, according to the Chongqing Morning Post.
