Stabbings in London 'not terror-linked'
A NORWEGIAN teenager of Somali origin allegedly went on a stabbing spree in the heart of London, leaving one American woman dead and five others wounded.
After hours of media speculation that the attack on Wednesday night was linked to terrorism, London police announced no evidence was found that indicated the 19-year-old suspect had been radicalised, reported the Independent newspaper.
The police believe it is a case of mental health issues, based on interviews with
the suspect and his family.
"At this point, we believe this is a spontaneous
attack and the victims
were selected at random,"
said Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley.
