Power fault hits Bukit Panjang LRT
TRAIN services on the Bukit Panjang Light Rail Transit (LRT) were disrupted for about an hour yesterday morning.
SMRT said that a power fault occurred between Fajar and Bangkit stations at 9.19am, causing a train to stall between the stations.
Another train was used to push the stricken train to Bangkit Station, where the affected passengers got off.
The train operator said that it made announcements to keep passengers informed, and normal services resumed at 10.05am.
The last breakdown on the Bukit Panjang LRT occurred in April 2012, when 11 passengers walked the tracks to safety after the train they were in stalled.
