Old, blind dog needs a home
ON JUNE 23 last year, My Paper reported about how an old, blind dog named Max was found in a plastic bag in Siglap.
The male Japanese chin, which was not microchipped, was taken in by Derrick Tan, founder of animal welfare group Voices For Animals, whose Facebook photos of Max went viral.
Mr Tan told My Paper that the person who abandoned it has not been found.
Max, who is estimated to be above eight years old, is currently being cared for by a fosterer.
Although Max has been at all adoption drives by Voices For Animals, there has not been anyone interested in adopting him, said Mr Tan.
"He deserves someone who will appreciate him despite his age and shortcomings," said Mr Tan.
"Nothing is perfect, just like we humans. Adoption is a choice and we have the ability to make that choice."
