Murder accused: Married, with 4 girlfriends
HE WAS married, but had at least four girlfriends.
Lim Wee Thong, 48, who was being tried for the 2011 murder of one of his girlfriends, Ms Loh Nyuk Moi, had allegedly got another girlfriend to help him buy the murder weapon - a kitchen knife, Lianhe Wanbao reported yesterday.
Ms Loh's body was found face down in her former home, a three-room flat at Block 5, Yung Ping Road in Taman Jurong, on Feb 16, 2011.
Lim was arrested 36 hours later at Causeway Point shopping centre, in the company of yet another woman.
The accused was heavily in debt then, according to prosecutors.
The court heard that Lim, a former junior prisons officer, had asked one of his girlfriends to buy a knife for him from a supermarket two months earlier. It was found in his car, and had the victim's blood and DNA on it.
He allegedly stabbed Ms Loh in the heart three times, and twice in the lungs. Ten knife wounds were found on her body.
Lim is also charged with 15 counts of theft for withdrawing $14,500 from Ms Loh's bank account, Shin Min Daily News said.
