Jurong Bird Park's 'bleeding heart'
Jurong Bird Park's new exhibit, the Wings of Asia, was officially unveiled yesterday, following a revamp of the South-east Asian Birds Aviary. It is set to house about 500 birds. There will be 135 species, of which 24 are endangered, such as the Luzon bleeding-heart dove (pictured). Eleven of the threatened species are new additions, such as the Javan green magpie and racquet-tailed parrot, which are expected to arrive in the park soon.
