Information from accredited religious teachers on website for Muslims
A ONE-STOP web portal for Muslims to access Islamic knowledge and advice from accredited religious teachers was launched yesterday.
The first of its kind website, called LearnIslam.sg, is targeted at young adults. It was unveiled by Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Yaacob Ibrahim at the Al Iman mosque in Bukit Panjang.
Dr Yaacob said that the "positive narrative" is important for young people, and that they can consult Muis (Islamic Religious Council of Singapore) if they have any queries.
Through the website, users can sign up for Islamic education programmes from mosques and other religious knowledge providers.
Ahead of the Ramadan fasting month in June, the website will also have frequently-asked questions, recipes for pre-dawn and breaking-of-fast meals and prayer schedules.
Users need to register with their e-mail addresses to access the website's content.
