Fugitive risks all to see Jay Chou live in China
A FUGITIVE who has been on the run for the past six months sacrificed his freedom to catch his idol Jay Chou in concert in China's Anhui province, reported Malaysia Chinese daily China Press.
The man, known only as Hong, 23, was recaptured at the Hefei railway station on Sunday.
He said he had no regrets. "It's all right. I do not want to hide any more. I am satisfied after listening to Jay Chou sing," he was quoted as saying by the daily.
Hong, a die-hard fan of the Taiwanese singer, even went to a beauty salon to have a mole removed and make-up applied shortly before heading off to the concert.
He is wanted by police in connection with an assault case in December last year. He apparently beat up a neighbour during an argument over a stove.
