Fish & Co says sorry for FB ad
SEAFOOD restaurant Fish & Co Singapore has apologised for an advertisement on its Facebook page, which urged customers to "Stay Away From Riot & Eat Bombay Fish And Chips".
The ad was taken down within an hour, but not before it was slammed by netizens as "insensitive" and "distasteful".
It now turns out that the ad was posted by a third-party administrator of the page. And in another Facebook post on Monday, the unnamed administrator wrote: "We did not intend to nor did we deliberately attempt to trivialise the situation."
The administration of the page has now been handed over to DSPG, another media agency.
