A phone just for old-school fans
NOW, there is a mobile phone for people who just need to make and receive calls.
Sporting big buttons and a minimal set of basic functions, the Just5 Brick is a reminder of the good old days when the word "smartphone" had yet to be invented.
The large buttons make it easy to dial a number or send an SMS.
The monochrome display and the retractable antenna, designed to receive strong radio signals, bring back pleasant memories for those who embrace anything old-school.
The phone has an alarm clock, radio, torchlight, calculator, calendar, manual counter and a navigation function to preserve travel routes.
Just5 Brick works with standard SIM cards and its battery lasts for about a week per charge, according to the people at Art Lebedev Studio, a Moscow-headquartered firm that offers advanced industrial, graphic, Web and interface designs.
The phone works on the GSM 900/1800 bands and weighs 93g.
What about games? Well, there's only one - a nostalgic racing game.
