Nokia unveils first tablet on final lap
NOKIA unveiled its first tablet and two large-screen smartphones, known as phablets, at its Nokia World event yesterday.
The Lumia 2520 tablet, along with the Lumia 1520 and 1620 phablets, are among the last products the Finnish company developed before deciding to sell its handset business to Microsoft.
The star of the show was the 2520 tablet, which uses Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system. Powered by a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU, it comes with 4G LTE connectivity.
It also features a 6.7MP rear camera with Zeiss optics and a 2MP front-facing camera.
The 2520 will be offered in glossy (red or white) or matt (cyan or black) finishes, and will ship in the fourth quarter of the year at US$499 (S$620).
