Drink to S'pore at National Day pub crawl

CELEBRATE Singapore's 48th birthday at the first National Day pub crawl next month.

About 200 revellers are expected to visit five venues in Boat Quay and Clarke Quay next Thursday and Friday.

The event organisers - WATSinside, a free lifestyle mobile app which offers updates on the entertainment and nightlife scene, and Singapore Pub Crawl - are not revealing the venues so as to give a surprise.

Partygoers are to meet at UOB Plaza at 7pm before heading to the first pub.

They will spend about 45 minutes at each pub before heading to the final venue, a club, to party on throughout the night.

There will be free shots at every stop, along with games and exclusive drink specials.

According to Mr Rodrigo Dela Pena, 31, head of marketing communications at WATSinside, nearly 100 people have already signed up for the pub crawl.

"For many, watching the National Day Parade is a tradition, but there are also those who want to do something fun and different this year.

"We want to share this unique and exciting way of celebrating National Day, giving people an insider's access to the best of Singapore's vibrant nightlife," said Mr Pena.

Tickets are priced at $35 and are available from WATSinside. Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, or visit to purchase online.

Tickets are also available from Singapore Pub Crawl's website at www.singapore
