    Design duo to exhibit rare furniture pieces

    AMERICAN designers Charles and Ray Eames, who are known for their contributions to modern architecture and furniture, will be exhibiting their work at the ArtScience Museum next month.

    Over 100 pieces from the husband-and-wife team will be displayed at the Essential Eames: A Herman Miller Exhibition, to be held from June 29, including a number of rare and never-before-seen works and images from the Eames family collection, the Eames Office and the archives of global furniture company Herman Miller.

    Among the unique furniture on display are a special chair designed for Pope John Paul II and the newly-released Herman Miller Eames wood shell chair.

    Tickets for Essential Eames: A Herman Miller Exhibition cost $13 for adult Singapore residents. Sales start tomorrow.
