O'NEAL AND YAO AMONG HALL OF FAME CLASS HEADLINERS
SHAQUILLE O'Neal, Allen Iverson, Tom Izzo and modern-day basketball pioneers Yao Ming and Sheryl Swoopes headline the 2016 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class announced on Monday.
Long-time Chicago Bulls owner and chairman Jerry Reinsdorf will be enshrined and posthumous inductees are NBA referee Darrell Garretson; John McLendon, the first African-American coach in professional basketball; and former stars Zelmo Beaty and Cumberland Posey.
ROSBERG ON GUARD AGAINST CHALLENGE FROM FERRARI
FERRARI are closer to Mercedes than results have suggested in this season's two races and look like posing a real challenge, according to Formula One world championship leader Nico Rosberg.
The German, who has scored a maximum 50 points after winning in Australia and Bahrain, told reporters that he had no illusions about the challenges ahead.
"Ferrari have had so many mishaps that have cost them dearly so we haven't seen the real Ferrari yet.
"We need to be careful, they are coming at us strong."

MEN'S and women's gold medallists in golf at this summer's Rio Olympics will be rewarded, if they need it, with exemptions to all the major tournaments in 2017, officials said at Augusta on Monday.
The news came as golf returns to the Olympics for the first time since 1904 - which has not been met with universal acclaim among the players, especially over the issue of scheduling.
