    More top-name entries for OUE Singapore Open

    MORE top players have confirmed their entry for April's OUE Singapore Open, adding more star power to the annual badminton tournament.

    Teams from the region - Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia who are also traditionally the world's strongest teams - are the latest to sign up. India, Hong Kong and England have also been pencilled in for the April 12-17 event.

    Indonesia are sending a 31-strong squad that include world No. 1 women's doubles pair Greysia Polii and Nitya Krishnda Maheswari, as well as world No. 2 men's doubles pair Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan.

    Defending champions (men's doubles) Ricky Karanda Suwardi and Angga Pratama will also be here.

    India's world No. 6 Saina Nehwal will also be here to compete, as well as two-time Singapore Open men's singles champion Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand.

    The Singapore Open is the last Superseries before this August's Olympic Games.

    Players will be looking to earn precious qualifying points to earn a spot at the Rio Games. Women's singles world No. 1 Carolina Marin is also going to be here.
