Go natural for hair care
IF YOU are reluctant to try out new products because of the numerous chemicals in them, pamper your hair with the all-natural Phytopolleine Universal Elixir.
The 100 per cent botanical universal elixir revitalises your hair and scalp through essential oils and botanical corn germ oil.
It is based on the Phyto concept of "deep treatment", which involves three steps: preparing the scalp with essential oils, using a shampoo that is suitable for the scalp type, and enhancing hair beauty with a cream, treatment or spray.
Each 25ml bottle of the elixir contains 72 per cent essential oils, including rosemary, eucalyptus, lemon and cajuput.
Lemon essential oil contains limonene, citrals and citronellal, among other things. It can help to maintain a less oily scalp.
Cajuput essential oil contains cineol, alpha-terpineol, limonene and linalol. It is used in scalp treatment to soothe the skin.
Contrary to what their name suggests, essential oils do not contain oily substances. Found mainly in the leaves, flowers, roots, fruits, seeds and skins of plants, they evaporate easily, giving off a pleasant fragrance.
Corn germ oil contains Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, which have an anti-dehydrating action on the skin.
Phytopolleine Universal Elixir can be used on dry or oily scalp types, as well as scalps with dandruff problems.
To use the product, apply the elixir onto the dry scalp, section by section, using the dropper bottle. Apply about 30 drops.
Then, massage the scalp gently to distribute the elixir evenly and wait for 20 minutes.
After that, rinse off with a shampoo that is suitable for your scalp type.
It is recommended to use the elixir once or twice a week, leaving the product on overnight for maximum effect.
Phytopolleine Universal Elixir retails for $52 and is available at all Robinsons, John Little and Beauty by Nature stores. It is also available at selected outlets of Watsons, Guardian, BHG, Metro and Unity.
