THERE are so many things one can make with Sun-Maid raisins.
From cookies to bread and cakes, raisins add a little bit of sweetness into that homemade treat.
Here's a recipe from Sun-Maid to get you inspired.
RAISIN BROWNIE RIBBONS
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 package (500g) basic brownie mix
11/2 cups Sun-Maid Natural Raisins
1/2 cup finely-chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 175 deg C. Coat two biscuit sheets with cooking spray or line with parchment paper.
Stir eggs and oil in large bowl. Add brownie mix and stir until completely combined. Dough should be stiff. Stir in raisins.
Spread one fourth of the dough into a 4cm x 25cm strip. Repeat with remaining dough. Place two strips on each biscuit sheet with space for them to spread.
Top each strip with 2 tablespoons of raisins and nuts, if desired.
Bake for 20 minutes, until tops are set and slightly crinkled. Cool on baking sheets, then slice cooled strips diagonally into 2.5cm-wide pieces. Store in an airtight container.
Recipe makes about 30 strips, depending on how you slice them.
