Big Splash makes a splash as lifestyle hub

ESTABLISHED in the 1970s, Big Splash has been transformed from a water theme park to the lifestyle hub that it is today.

Rebranded with the new tagline "Good Lifestyle Starts Here!", the iconic hub located in East Coast Park houses a total of 20 tenants. They include wellness centres, food and beverage outlets, and those with recreational activities.

If you are looking for a place to dine, the wide selection of cuisines at Big Splash will leave you spoilt for choice.

Anchor tenant The Seafood International Market and Restaurant is known for its live seafood market and restaurant concept.

With 18,000 sq ft of space, customers can look forward to a wide selection of seafood.

The restaurant is also known for its award-winning Sri Lankan crab cooked in its Signature Thai Curry.

Those who prefer meat can head to The Coast Bistro & Bar, which is known for its mini beef burgers and holds performances by local bands.

Beer lovers can drink their fill at Brussels Sprouts, where up to 120 labels of Belgian beer await.

The restaurant also serves up dishes such as mussels and croquettes.

If you are craving for crab, you could head to Crab In Da Bag which, as the name suggests, serves its crab in large plastic bags. The restaurant, which prepares seafood in Louisiana flavours with a local twist, also serves black pomfret, yabbie and crayfish.

Other dining options include Sushi Tei, OldTown White Coffee, Mr Teh Tarik and Cotton.

But the place is not just about food. Big Splash was much loved as a place to keep youngsters entertained in the 1970s, and it is no different today.

At Lilliputt, visitors can have a go at a round of mini golf.

Outdoor lovers can catch prawns at Fish @ Big Splash, skate through East Coast Park by renting a pair of skates from Urban Inline or rent Kangoo Jumps and quad family bikes.

The 300,000 sq ft lifestyle hub also houses tenants which provide wellness activities. There is Reflexsole for those who wish to go for quality foot reflexology and body massage.

Other tenants include Alpha Gymnastics, Updog Hot Yoga Studio and Ch'i Life, which offers mixed martial arts and dance lessons.

If you are looking for a venue to host an event, consider Big Splash.

It has a designated outdoor space ideal for sporting events, family carnivals, corporate functions, outdoor movie screenings, concerts and weddings.
