    AT AH Yat Seafood Restaurant in Bukit Timah, a delectable spread of fresh seafood dishes awaits, with about 80 kinds of live seafood to choose from.

    The restaurant - located at The Grandstand, a lifestyle hub formerly known as Turf City - has a lunch special with 40 per cent off all Hong Kong dim sum, available from 11.30am to 2.30pm daily. You can choose from over 28 kinds of dim sum.

    A wide variety of seafood is available: prawn, abalone, crab, lobster, clams as well as fresh and seawater fish.

    Mud crabs weighing below 800g go for $4.80 per 100g, while "la la" clams and big head mussels go for $2.30 per 100g. This excludes service charge and GST.

    With Ah Yat Seafood Restaurant, holding birthday parties or hosting guests need not be a chore - the restaurant has many set meals available.

    Exclusive to the outlet at The Grandstand is a set meal priced at $258 for six people and at $398 for 10 people without service charge and GST. The set meal includes roasted suckling pig, stewed fresh abalone with Japanese mushroom and vegetables, braised superior shark's fin in individual claypots, and deep-fried "soon hock" fish with light soya sauce. An advance order is required.

    Another value-for-money set meal is the Peking duck, abalone, shark's fin and seafood set, priced at $198 for six diners and at $298 for 10 people, without service charge and GST.

    For smaller groups, you can enjoy special lunch menus priced at $22.80 or $33.80 per person, without service charge and GST. Dishes include steamed cod fish with garlic and stewed abalone whelk with mushroom.

    Wedding packages are also available. Depending on the number of tables booked, you may get additional tables, free flow of beer and a bottle of red wine for every table. Prices start at $568 for a table of 10, inclusive of service charge and GST.

    The Ah Yat Group, which manages the seafood restaurant chain, was established in 2001, with four outlets now.

    Ah Yat Seafood Restaurant at The Grandstand opens from 11.30am to 2.30pm and 5.30pm to 10.30pm daily.
