Hsu to wed S'pore-based businessman
TAIWANESE actress Vivian Hsu has announced that she will be marrying her Singapore-based boyfriend, Sean Lee, the chief executive of shipping group Marco Polo Marine.
The 38-year-old actress made the announcement after the pair were spotted visiting a Vera Wang bridal boutique on Saturday, reported Apple Daily Taiwan.
Hsu said that Lee had flown to Taipei to accompany her and her mother, elder sister and brother-in-law to select her bridal gown.
Her announcement came on the weekend that Taiwanese actress Charlie Young and her long-time Singaporean boyfriend, Khoo Shao Tze, tied the knot at a star-studded affair at W Singapore.
According to reports, Hsu - who visited Singapore last month to promote her new film, Rhythm Of The Rain - made her relationship with Lee public only about a month ago, but the couple have been dating for seven months.
The star started out as a singer and model in the early 1990s, and rose to fame after starring in a few Hong Kong Category III films.
Category III is a rating that restricts those under 18 from watching or renting such films.
According to reports, Lee is younger than Hsu by two years. He was born in Indonesia and moved to Singapore to study when he was eight years old.
The award-winning businessman reportedly has an estimated net worth of S$25 million.
Lee has two daughters from a previous marriage that ended six years ago. When asked what she thought about that, Hsu replied: "I don't mind. He's like me: filial, loves his family and is responsible."
As to when the couple will tie the knot, Hsu merely replied: "Soon!"
