China director leaves prints in Hollywood
DIRECTOR Feng Xiaogang became the first person from China to leave his prints at Hollywood's TCL Chinese Theatre on Friday.
Feng's hand and foot prints will be displayed in the forecourt, along with numerous handprints of iconic celebrities.
The 55-year-old is known for epics such as Aftershock - a film based on the 1976 Tangshan earthquake - which was submitted for the 2011 foreign-language Academy Award, and Back To 1942, which was also submitted for the foreign-language Oscar this season.
Despite having two films submitted by his country, Feng joked in an interview with Los Angeles Times on Thursday that "nobody here really knows who I am".
