BigBang to headline F1 Padang Stage
SOUTH Korea's top boy group, BigBang, will be the headlining act on the Padang Stage at this year's Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix race weekend on Sept 20.
The hip-hop quintet, which consist of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Seungri, Taeyang and Daesung, have been making frequent trips here over the past two years to perform at separate events.
Last weekend, rapper G-Dragon held his first solo gig here as part of his One of a Kind solo world tour.
In 2011, G-Dragon, T.O.P and Seungri performed at the Padang Stage at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix to a 25,000-strong audience and, in September last year, the group was here for their BigBang Alive Tour concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
They will join other A-listers headlining the Padang Stage this year, such as American rock band The Killers on Sept 21 and singer Rihanna on Sept 22.
Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber will perform at the closing concert on Sept 23.
BigBang will perform on the Padang Stage at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix on Sept 20. Tickets, priced at $68, are available at Sistic (www.sistic.com.sg) and the Singapore Grand Prix website (www.singaporegp.sg).
