If you want something special for a day out with the girls, or if you are attending a posh wedding and need a sophisticated look, try these styles at Prep. They have been tweaked from this season's runway trends to better suit Asian hair.
50 BRAIDS OF GREY
Braids are all the rage this season, featuring in shows for brands such as Balmain, Jason Wu and Marchesa. Prep's look combines a low pony with French braids - a casual look, great for a casual day out. You can opt for a glamorous alternative by pinning up your pony into curls at the nape. Add a flower as a pretty touch.
Price: $49 for pony, $80 if you opt for the updo.
THE LOW PONY
The sleek low pony has been seen at the Jil Sander, Etro and Alexander Wang runway shows. Prep stylists suggest adding soft curls to the usual, boring straight-haired pony to make the look romantic, classy and a tad more elegant. Pull the pony to one side for that extra hint of coy girlishness.
GONE WITH THE WAVE
Models rocked wavy manes at the Isabel Marant and Diane Von Furstenberg shows. For chin-length hair, the tresses are tousled before they are swept to one side.
Two waterfall braids are then added near the parting for an edgy, rock-star look. For longer lengths, Prep says it's all about big waves and more volume, with hair ends that curl outwards for a light and airy feel.
Price: $39 for waves. Additional $10 for every braid.
