War on narcotics so far
MALAYSIA'S Narcotics Department is making headway in its war against drugs with the busting of 17 drug labs and seizure of RM88 million (S$34 million) worth of drugs.
The haul comprised 504,131 pills and 9,575 litres of liquid drugs weighing 3.15 tonnes.
Police also confiscated RM48.11 million worth of assets, including vehicles and houses, used in drug-trafficking activities.
Federal Narcotics Department director Noor Rashid Ibrahim said that the foreign syndicates busted this year originated from Mongolia, Nigeria, Iran and Hong Kong.
