S'pore Biennale opens to public tomorrow
THE fourth edition of the Singapore Biennale will be opening to the public tomorrow.
The event, which is Singapore's answer to prestigious international visual-art events, will run all the way to Feb 16 next year.
This time, it is titled "If the World Changed" and invites artists to reconsider the world and the worlds people want to live in.
It will feature works by 82 artists and artist collectives from 13 countries. Some 93 per cent of the works are by artists or collectives from the region, making this Biennale one with the strongest Asian representation so far.
Many works have also been specially commissioned for the Biennale and are being shown here for the first time.
