GOVT RELEASES FOUR NEW HOUSING SITES
FOUR new residential sites have been released for development and can yield about 2,350 homes.
One land parcel is located in Upper Paya Lebar Road, while two parcels for development into executive condominiums are located in Canberra Drive and Anchorvale Crescent.
The fourth, also an executive-condominium site, is located in Choa Chu Kang Drive and is on the reserve list for application by developers.
CPF BOARD TO HOLD INTEREST RATE AT 2.5%
THE Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board said yesterday that the Ordinary Account interest rate for CPF members will continue to hold at 2.5 per cent per annum from January to March next year.
The board will also continue to pay the extra 1 per cent interest on the first $60,000 of a member's combined balances, and maintain the 2.6 per cent per annum concessionary interest rate for HDB mortgage loans.
PUBLIC-TRANSPORT FARE REVIEW KICKS OFF
The Public Transport Council (PTC) has started a review of transport fares, and operators can submit their review applications by Dec 19. The council will announce its decision by the first quarter of next year.
In a statement yesterday, the council said it will consider enhancing existing concessions, which was proposed by the Fare Review Mechanism Committee.
