SINGAPOREANS MORE UPBEAT ABOUT THEIR JOB PROSPECTS
CONSUMERS here have become more positive about their job prospects in the third quarter, compared to the second quarter, according to a Nielson report released yesterday.
Some 61 per cent of Singaporeans view the state of their job prospects in the coming 12 months as good or excellent, up 9 percentage points from the second quarter.
MEASURES TO EASE PROCESSES FOR PRIVATE SCHOOLS
THE Council for Private Education said yesterday that it will be implementing several measures to cut the administrative burden and compliance costs for private schools by year end.
For instance, the schools will have up to seven working days to purchase insurance for course fees paid by students. Currently, they need to buy insurance on the same day the course fees are paid.
