HAZE SUBSIDY SCHEME TO END TOMORROW
THE Health Ministry will cease the Haze Subsidy Scheme from tomorrow. This comes after the National Environment Agency's assessment that the likelihood of trans-boundary haze affecting Singapore for the rest of the year will be low.
The scheme ensures that vulnerable Singaporeans have access to affordable treatment for haze-related conditions.
FIRST FEMALE SUPREME COURT JUDGE RETIRES
SINGAPORE'S first female judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Lai Siu Chiu, 65, will retire today, after more than 22 years of service.
She became the first female judicial commissioner in 1991.
BUSES TO SKIP STOPS ON SUNDAY FOR NIKE RUN
DUE to road closures during the Nike We Run on Sunday, five SBS Transit bus services - 10, 14, 16, 70M and 196 - will skip some bus stops along Nicoll Highway from 5am to between 9.30am and 10am.
