MIGRANT WORKERS GET SECOND HELP CENTRE
THE Migrant Workers' Centre officially launched its second help centre in Geylang for migrant workers yesterday, six months earlier than planned.
The new help centre is expected to serve the large number of migrant workers from China who live and congregate in the area.
POLICE TAKE ESCORT BIKERS ON CTE TO TASK
TWO motorcyclists in a convoy of seven riders along the Central Expressway on Sept 14 were taken to task for flouting road rules. They are members of Team Diversion Singapore, which has escort riders for weddings.
One rider was issued with a summons for inconsiderate riding - for blocking the path of a car driver. Another was arrested for riding even though he had been disqualified from doing so, said police.
