SURVEY TO ASSESS FINANCIAL LITERACY
A SURVEY began yesterday to assess the levels of financial literacy and financial well-being among Singapore residents across different age groups.
The National Financial Literacy Survey, conducted by the Financial Education Steering Committee, will involve face-to-face interviews with a representative sample of 2,000 individuals and end on Sept 26.
POLICE ADVISORY ON USE OF SPARKLERS
POLICE would like to remind the public that a serious view is taken of persons setting off improvised explosive devices constructed using sparklers.
This is because such devices, including sparklers bundled together, are a potential fire hazard and cause noise pollution and undue alarm to the public.
DELAYS EXPECTED AT LAND CHECKPOINTS
THE Immigration & Checkpoints Authority advises travellers to plan their journey over the Hari Raya Puasa and National Day holiday period as traffic flow through the Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints is expected to be heavy.
Traffic volume at both checkpoints is expected to build up on the eve of the holidays on Wednesday and continue throughout the weekend till Aug 11. Travellers can expect delays.
