PRESIDENT APPOINTS 2 JUDICIAL COMMISSIONERS
MR GEORGE Wei Sze Shun, 58, and Mr Edmund Leow, 50, will be appointed as judicial commissioners of the High Court for a one-year term from tomorrow and Oct 1, respectively, said a statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) yesterday.
PMO said the appointments were made by the President, "acting in his discretion, and in concurrence with the advice of the Prime Minister". With the latest appointments, the Supreme Court will have a total of 15 judges - including the Chief Justice - and three judicial commissioners.
18 BUS SERVICES TO SKIP STOPS FOR N-DAY EVENTS
A TOTAL of 18 SBS Transit services will be affected when roads in the Marina Bay area are closed for the National Day Preview on Saturday, and the Parade next Friday.
The affected services are 10, 14, 16, 36, 56, 57, 70M, 97, 100, 111, 130, 131, 133, 162M, 195, 196, 502 and 518. They will skip various bus stops from 1.50pm till 11.30pm.

TRANSITLINK APP GIVES ACCESS TO KEY SERVICES
TRANSITLINK today launched its TransitLink Mobile Services app for commuters to access key services conveniently, such as customer claims and lost concession-card replacements.
The app - available on Google Android and Apple iOS platforms - also features an eGuide with useful information on public-transport routes.
