MAN NABBED FOR CHOA CHU KANG MURDER
A 30-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested for the murder of a woman at Block 674 in Choa Chu Kang Crescent, said police.
The 25-year-old was found injured in a flat unit at about 2.30am yesterday and was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, where she later died.
The case was classified as murder and investigations are ongoing.
$250k TO HELP YOUTH SOCIAL START-UPS
THE Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) has launched a programme to fund youth aged between 18 and 35 to develop social enterprise start-ups in the social-service sector.
The Youth Social Entrepreneurship Programme for Start-Ups (YSEP Start-Ups) has an annual budget of $250,000 and each start-up could receive a grant of up to $50,000.
In a statement yesterday, MSF said that successful social enterprises under YSEP Start-Ups should "serve social objectives and address social needs innovatively".
10 SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR VICE ACTIVITIES
TEN women were arrested in the vicinity of Orchard Road last Saturday for suspected involvement in vice activities.
Police said that the suspects, aged 22 to 35, were nabbed in a five-hour operation carried out by officers from Tanglin Police Division and the Criminal Investigation Department.
The operation was part of the police's ongoing enforcement efforts against vice-related activities.
