S'PORE WORKERS SET SIGHTS ON HIGHER PAY
A JOBSDB survey has found that workers in Singapore are seeking higher-paying jobs,with an increase in respondents searching for roles in the $5,000 to $7,499 salary range, up 7 per cent from last October.
Forty-two per cent of respondents said they sought out positions with a salary of between $1,500 and $3,499.
19 MOTORISTS NABBED FOR DRINK DRIVING
TRAFFIC Police set up roadblocks in a pre-dawn operation yesterday, nabbing a total of 19 motorists for drink driving.
The 17 men and two women were aged between 27 and 69.
S R NATHAN FUND TO HELP 230 STUDENTS
NOW into its second year, the S R Nathan Education Upliftment Fund continues to support needy ITE students, with some 230 of them expected to benefit this year.
The awards will be presented today at a ceremony to be officiated by Education Minister Heng Swee Keat.
