11,000 MORE HOMES GET ESTATE HELPLINE
A ONE Connect hotline to connect to government agencies on residential-maintenance issues was yesterday extended to 11,000 private households in the Jurong Group Representation Constituency and Yuhua Single Member Constituency.
ACTIONS IN HAWKER ROW NOT POLITICAL, SAYS NEA
THE National Environment Agency (NEA) yesterday rejected allegations by the Workers' Party that its actions in an ongoing row over hawker-centre cleaning was "politically motivated".
An issue in the row is whether the Aljunied-Hougang-Punggol East Town Council under the party told Bedok hawkers to pay additional cleaning charges. The party said it had not done so, while NEA said it stood by accounts of hawkers alleging this.
