    Q2 GDP beats forecasts on strength in services

    Singapore's economy grew at a better-than-expected pace in the second quarter and the Govern- ment raised the country's outlook for the year on expectations of a gradual pick-up in global growth. Gross domestic product expanded 15.5 per cent in the April-June period on a quarter- on-quarter, seasonally-adjusted and annualised rate, faster than the advance estimate of 15.2 per cent.
