    Private-home sales crawl back from recent lows

    Singapore's private-home sales took a step towards normality as developers sold 65 per cent more units last month compared to August, when the market was coming to terms with loan curbs. But the cooling measures have hurt as sales are down 52 per cent from a year ago, while home prices rose at the slowest pace in six quarters in the three months ended Sept 30.
