Police apologise for sending letter wrongly
POLICE yesterday apologised that they "mistakenly sent" a letter to a complainant in which the police said they had ceased investigations into his lost Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone.
The phone had been picked up by another person who refused to return it to the complainant, sales manager B. Qureshi, 43. Mr Qureshi bought the phone for between $700 and $800.
In reply to My Paper's queries, a police spokesman clarified that investigations into the case "are on-going".
Mr Qureshi left his phone in a taxi on May 21. He made a posting about his case on Stomp on Tuesday.
