Once a Marxist S'porean, he kept 'slaves' in UK
They called him Comrade Bala. He left Singapore in the 1960s to start a commune in Britain. In 1977, he was stripped of his citizenship for "activities prejudicial to the security of Singapore". He has now been arrested in England. For more than 30 years, he and his partner allegedly held three women as "slaves", beat them up and brainwashed them - all in the name of ideology.
