    Misleading promoters can affect legit charities

    Promoters engaged in direct selling of vouchers, but who claim to do so for charity, could harm public confidence in legitimate fund-raising if they are indeed misleading the public, said at least three charities that My Paper spoke to. They were referring to doubts the public has about young promoters selling $10 food vouchers for fast-food restaurant Chicken Heaven in Bedok.
