    Mercury to hit record high in S'pore 'by 2028'

    The heat is on for Singapore, with a new study claiming that average temperatures on the island will soar to record highs in just 15 years - nearly two decades ahead of other countries. Thanks to global warming, Singaporeans may have to cope with searing heat, more frequent rainstorms, as well as food and water shortages.
