    On-air history

    1949: Rediffusion launched in Singapore and goes on air.

    1970s: The heyday of Rediffusion, when its dialect programmes helped to attract more than 200,000 subscribers.

    1982: Dialect programmes stopped, in response to the Government's Speak Mandarin Campaign, which started in 1979.

    2012: After 63 years on the air, Rediffusion shut down due to financial difficulties, airing its final broadcast on April 30.

    2013: Rediffusion makes a comeback as an online station.
