Wireless printing from Kindle, via Epson

Epson mobile-printing support for Amazon Kindle Fire tablets

ALTHOUGH the Kindle is not available for shipping direct from the Amazon online store, many people have bought the Kindle via VPost or ComGateway. There are also shops in Funan and Sim Lim Square that sell Kindles.

The tablet just got more useful with Epson last week announcing its support for Kindle Fire printing.

The new Kindles with Amazon Fire OS 3.1 can now print wirelessly to a range of Epson Connect-enabled printers. These tablets are the first Kindles to offer built-in wireless printing.

Users can print documents, photos, e-mail messages and calendars from the Kindle Fire and the Kindle Fire HDX. But if you are looking to print an entire Kindle e-book, that won't work as there is built-in copyright protection. Besides, the whole idea of having an e-book is to do away with paper.
