Take part in national futsal tournament to win $1,000
DO YOU want to be part of a football tournament celebrating 50 years of Singapore's independence and watch local football legends like Fandi Ahmad? If so, join the BeritaHarian.sg National Futsal Championship 2015.
The event will be held on May 30 and 31 at the Home United Youth Football Academy at 8 Mattar Road.
Participants can sign up at the academy in teams of seven - five team players and two reserves - from 10am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday (for early bird registration), or on April 25 and 26.
The tournament is open to all, with six categories: Under 12, under 14, under 18, under 35, above 35, and a category for women of all ages.
Teams in the first three categories can sign up for $90 ($70 for early birds) and stand to win a trophy, medals and $700 in cash, while teams in the other categories can sign up for $160 ($140 for early birds) to win a trophy, medals and $1,000 in cash.
Teams must bring along cash for payment, registration forms and signed indemnity forms, which they can print from beritaharian.sg/futsal, as well as photocopies of all seven team members' photo identification.
Aside from taking part, participants can watch former national players such as Fandi, Nazri Nasir, Lim Tong Hai and Malek Awab in exhibition matches.
The tournament is organised by the digital edition of Malay daily newspaper Berita Harian, in collaboration with Frenz United Football Club and Home United Football Club, as part of SG50.
