Oprah may launch her own grocery brand
THE next time you go grocery shopping, you may be picking up lemonade or cheese sold by talk-show queen Oprah Winfrey.
The 62-year-old media mogul filed documents last month to trademark the name Oprah's Kitchen, according to Unites States media outlets.
The merchandise application covered a wide range of food products, from dairy goods and meat to fish, spices, juices and baked items. There are also products like beer and even caviar, reported The New York Daily News.
A line of preserved foods and bacon may also be on the cards, said the report.
If this venture goes ahead, it would be the latest extension of her food-related endeavours.
Her magazine Oprah has a prominent recipe section.
And she had previously partnered with Starbucks and Teavana to create an Oprah Chai drink.
