RETAILER Toy Or Game (TOG), which took over Comics Connection in May last year, has 13 stores islandwide.

The chain, whose latest outlet opened at Waterway Point, sells items such as computer and console games, toys from Japan and the United States, trading cards and anime-related merchandise.

It hopes to "keep up Comics Connection's fighting spirit" and plans to ride the tech wave and branch out into social media marketing. "Social media is a must," said TOG managing director Felix Chan.

An online store with home delivery is in the works, along with an app, slated for release in April.

The 39-year-old added that the retailer hopes to introduce Japanese geek culture - commonly known as "otaku" culture with its anime and manga products, toys and games - to a whole new generation.
