My Paper readers enjoy yoga under the stars
WHILE people were catching Pokemon after dark, about
450 people were stretching out
under the stars at The Lawn@Marina Bay on Friday.
They were taking part in the
My Paper Yogaspiration 2016 event, organised by Singapore Press Holdings' bilingual free sheet, My Paper.
The annual yoga event's second edition took place from 6pm to 9.30pm.
Instructors from True Yoga showed participants how to benefit from hatha yoga and yin yoga.
Participants also each received
a goodie bag of items worth
more than $200.
Some won lucky-draw prizes worth over $7,000 such as luxury gift sets sponsored by China Life Insurance Singapore and one-year all-access True Fitness and
True Yoga memberships.
Aaron Wong, 27, who is in healthcare sales and his wife,
Quincy Kwek, 25, an executive,
were first-time participants.
They heard about the event from radio channel Kiss92.
"My wife does yoga quite often, so I joined her for this. I've never tried yoga before and it was difficult but fun," said Mr Wong.
Ms Kwek said: "I do yoga workouts at my office during lunchtime once a week.
"Doing yoga outdoors was an interesting experience.
"The event was well-organised and the ushers were very helpful."
The event was presented by China Life Insurance Singapore, supported by Bio-essence and Eversoft and with MegRhythm Steam Eye Mask as product sponsor.
Other partners included True Yoga as official yoga partner, Kiss92 as official radio station and SPHMBO as official out-of-home partner.
