Madonna's concert confirmed but date not fixed
POP star Madonna is set to perform in Singapore for the first time. It will probably happen this year at the National Stadium, but a date has not been set.
In a Facebook post, Mediacorp VizPro, the local coordinator of the concert, confirmed that the singer's Rebel Heart tour will make a stop here.
The police has confirmed that a licence has been issued for the concert. The Singapore date was earlier listed as Feb 28 on the singer's official website before being removed.
The 57-year-old American was banned from performing her Girlie Show World Tour here in 1993, when police said her performances in the tour show "border on the obscene... (and are) known to be objectionable to many on moral and religious grounds".
