Leaked: Images of next 'Lumia flagship phone'
THE long wait for a new Lumia flagship smartphone from Microsoft may soon be over, as leaked images of what appears to be either the Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL have appeared on a Chinese forum.
Since Microsoft purchased Nokia's devices group back in 2013, the company has focused mainly on mid-range and low-end Lumia devices, where Windows Phone has found more success.
However, current rumours suggest that a new Lumia flagship launch could be imminent: the 5.2-inch Lumia 950 and 5.7-inch Lumia 950 XL.
Right now, there seems to be some debate on which model is shown in the pictures online.
From one of the photos, the rear of the phone is protected by a case designed to hide its design. However, there is a rather large and protruding PureView camera module and dual LED flash visible.
The bottom of the phone shows a USB Type-C port.
Screenshots of specifications on the phone have been posted as well. From the images, it can be gleaned that the phone is running on Windows Phone 10 Build 10240, and has 3GB RAM.
An image of a screen with what seems to be video recording settings suggests that there might be an option for the phone to shoot videos at 120 frames per second at 720p resolution. There are options for higher resolution 1080p videos as well.
